Mornings at Foster Harris

Breakfast at Foster Harris is a three-course affair, plated and served at the pace of the table rather than a fixed slot. Coffee starts early. Most guests come down whenever they actually wake up.

The menu rotates. A different hot main shows up each morning of a multi-night stay — eggs Benedict one day, Belgian waffles the next, a baked French toast for a third. Every breakfast includes a fresh fruit course and a baked good usually pulled from the oven that morning.

Dietary preferences shared at booking get accommodated. Vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free — mention what you need and it shows up on the table.

What guests describe afterward is less the food and more the pacing. There is no buffet. No fixed seating slot. No rush back into the day. The morning is one of the quieter parts of the historic district, and breakfast is the part of the stay most guests linger longest over.
